Join us in the Great Hall at 5PM on April 7th to welcome Dr. Huda Zoghbi for the Louis Levine-Gabriella de Beer Lecture in Genetics. Dr. Zoghbi is the Ralph D. Feigin Professor of Pediatrics, Molecular, and Human Genetics at the Baylor College of Medicine. She is also an investigator at the Howard Hughes Medical Institute, as well as Director of the Jan and Dan Duncan Neurological Institute.
She has received numerous prestigious honors and awards, including the March of Dimes Prize in Developmental Biology (2014), the Bristol-Myers Squibb Neuroscience Distinguished Achievement Award (2014), and an Honorary Doctorate of Science from Yale University (2014). She will be on campus to shed light on how genetic mutation can cause the rare postnatal neurological disorder known as Rett Syndrome.
